I contacted Salford Plumbers for a quote to fit a pair of new basin taps. They responded quickly, which I appreciated, but quoted me £140 for what is a very straightforward job. I found this quite expensive, especially when I later received a quote of £40 from another local tradesperson for the exact same work. I politely let Salford Plumbers know that I had gone with someone else. To my surprise, the next day I received a rude WhatsApp message saying, "No problem, we get time wasters all the time." That was completely uncalled for! Shopping around for quotes is a normal and sensible thing for any customer to do. It’s disappointing to be insulted simply for making a choice that’s right for me. I would not recommend this business based on this experience. Professionalism goes beyond just quoting quickly — it’s also how you treat people when they choose not to go with you.
